A review of Fanaa
To begin with, I dont have the vocab and neither the patience to search for words to describe the performance of Amir and Kajol. For a while you actually forget watching the movie and begin living it simply because of their acting. It is mind-blowing; believe you me.
What makes that all the more awe-inspiring is because the script is nothing to write home about. Which is where Fanaa faulters. That along with the music, the direction, even the action sequences which would even make Kajols' pop-in- law embarrassed.
U wish you could love the movie- you wish it were a classic- it simply isn't. They systematically ruined every single positive about the movie. They had the great Prasoon Joshi(Rang de Basanti) for lyrics but the music is terrible, nausiating and completely out of context. The acting is great, but the dialogues arent... the story is good but the editing isnt
Trust me its all really sad !!! especially when u want the movie to work... it all leaves you feeling really empty after a gripping climax..
All these flaws could have destroyed any work but in this case it has not! Even with them all, the movie is a great work simply because of its decent story and briliant performances. Im trying to think of more positives but honestly I cant any more. If you ask me, Fanaa is more of a great rescue story than a destruction one. Instead of 'destroyed in love' they should have could have given it the tag line ' rescued by acting'
Go watch the movie, its worth the money and if you cant buy the tickets get it in black, its worth the extra money too.

linking you up to my blogroll. thanks
Hi,
Quite surprising that you found the story to be good. I could understand people saying that they could tolerate the movie due to the performances... but frankly, its been a long time since I saw such a lame and loose story.
Anyways, I have a longer list of the 'positives'... though I am sure you won't agree to a lot of them
